The exceptionally quiet yet strong 1500 W motor, with a 7 year guarantee, has continuous speed control and a timer, as well as a unique gear construction located directly under the bowl, which makes the machine strong and robust. The Ankarsrum Original kneads up to five kilograms of dough at a time. Most older accessories work on the new machines, and vice versa.

I am extremely happy with this purchase. My parents gave me one as a wedding gift 34 years ago, and it was brilliant. It lasted me 18 years before I damaged the motor. I could not find a replacement here in Australia at the time. Last November I found this for a friend who was desperate to replace the one she has had for at least as long as I had my first one. After going through two stand mixers in seven years, this is such a pleasure to have. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a dough mixer. They outperform any stand mixer. Different process of operation, so very strong.

Really excellent product
This is my first experience with an Ankarsrum Mixer. So far I have used the dough roller and hook (small batch) and made cookie dough using the plastic bowl and cookie beaters. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. However, I think this machine will perform at its best with bigger batches. It certainly makes light work of kneading and creaming butter and sugar. This is a reasonably quiet and very stable machine. I highly recommend this machine AND Blackwood Lane for their customer service!
